Hi Doug; Since Matt sent something over this list, I'll reply here too. As was suggested, you can contact me directly if you have more questions. The "Server Fault" message is slightly misleading, and I have corrected this to be more informative in the current release I'm working on under the Internet2 piPEs project. This message is usually generated for 1 of 2 reasons. 1) the web100srv process is not running as root. The web100srv process fork()'s a couple of child processes to perform some raw packet timings. This means root privileges are required to get raw access to the network. 2) if the server has multiple interfaces, then you need to tell the web100srv process which interface to snoop on. By default it uses the 1st interface (eth0 on most systems). Use the '-i device' command line option to specify a different interface. You can use the 'netstat -ni' or '/sbin/ifconfig -a' command to find out what the proper device name is. Rich At 03:33 PM 4/6/2004 -0400, Douglas Baggett wrote: Hello!
