Everyone, I just compiled the patched kernel on Fedora Core 2 and it won’t boot. It hangs with the following errors: Booting ‘Fedora Core web100.org (2.6.9-1.6_FC2custom)’ root (hd0,0) Filesystem type is ext2fs, partition type 0x83 kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.9-1.6_FC2custom ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb quiet [Linux-bzImage, setup=0x1400, size=0x15c87b] initrd /initrd-2.6.9-1.6_FC2custom.img [Linux-initrd @ 0x1fe94000, 0x1bee0 bytes]
Uncompressing Linux… Ok, booting the kernel. audit(1101996774.932:0): initialized Red Hat nash version 3.5.22 starting mount: error 19 mounting ext3 pivotroot: pivot_root(/sysroot,/sysroot/initrd) failed: 2 umount /initrd/proc failed:2 Kernel panic – not syncing: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel. Any ideas? TODD WITTEN
