John, thanks for clarifying the units. I am using the web100-2.5.4 patched
to kernel 2.6.12 from kernel.org. Also using web100_userland-1.5 tools.
Using bwtcl i measured throughput on a 1 Gbps link to be ~700Mbps, while
also collecting stats with web100 (watchsender). Computing the throughput
from web100 variables however suggests a much lower ~0.0729 Mbps (if i use
DataBytesOut*8/ (SndLimTimeSend + SndLimTimeCwnd +SndLimTimeRwin) )
and ~ 0.0183 Mbps (if i use ThruBytesSent*8/ (SndLimTimeSend +
SndLimTimeCwnd +SndLimTimeRwin) ), i suppose ThruBytesSent is the same as
ThruBytesOut, since ThruBytesOut is not an available variable with the
version am using.
Does anyone have an idea as to what i am missing?
Julianne
