Hi folks, we just bought a new cluster of machines and I am about to choose a kernel with the following criteria: 1)Patch web100 with no problems 2)Patch some flavor of fast TCP like FAST TCP etc for tests and performance. From the web100 site I see that the latest web100 patch applies to 2.6.12 Should I stick with that ? What about 2.6.13 ? Already a memeber of the list (Maurice Volaski) reported some problems with 2.6.13. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, Best, Felix P.S. Any suggestion on an alternate TCP stack specked for high speed ? We have a private gigabit network and are geared towards very fast data transfers between local computers (accelerator experiment at a national lab). Are there any interaction problems between web100 and a non-standard TCP stack ? -- ______________________________________________________________________ Felix Matathias, Columbia University, Nevis Labs Brookhaven National Lab cell : 631-988-3694 Bldg 1005, 3-304 web : http://www.matathias.com Upton, NY, 11973 photo: http://www.pbase.com/matathias tel/fax :631-344-7622/3253 email: felix@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx _______________________________________________________________________
